THE FOUNDER
Giacomo Elia is an Italian rider and a leading authority on Brompton travel. Born in Rome, he transformed a deep passion for cycling into a distinguished international career. As a competitive rider, he became a two-time World Champion in the Brompton World Team category at the prestigious Brompton World Championships in London.
His professional path led him to represent the brand at official Brompton flagship stores—first as a technical expert and guide at the iconic Brompton Junction Covent Garden in London, and later at Brompton Junction Tokyo in Shibuya. There, he played a key role in cultivating and spreading Brompton culture in Japan.
Over the years, Giacomo has traveled thousands of kilometers exclusively by Brompton, crossing major capitals and remote territories. His journeys seamlessly weave together trains, ferries, secondary roads, and complex urban landscapes, where the folding bike becomes a natural extension of the traveler.
Brompton Tours was born from this accumulation of real, lived experience. Every unique itinerary we offer has been personally ridden, tested, and refined by Giacomo.
